Trent McDuffie maintains versatility as Jaylen Watson is sidelined

The Los Angeles Rams will be without starting cornerback Jaylen Watson in their Week 4 matchup. His absence raises questions about defensive adjustments, but defensive coordinator Chris Shula confirmed that Trent McDuffie will not be forced into a full-time outside role. Shula expressed confidence in depth players Josh Wallace and Emmanuel Forbes Jr. to cover outside responsibilities. Additionally, the return of safety Kam Kinchens is expected to allow for continued flexibility in McDuffie's usage. Last week, McDuffie played the majority of defensive snaps and remains a key part of the defensive strategy.
