Trey Augustine records 26 saves as Detroit Red Wings prospects win

Goaltender Trey Augustine made 26 saves to help the Detroit Red Wings prospects defeat Dallas Stars prospects 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday, Sept. 12. Played at Little Caesars Arena, the game saw Detroit force overtime with two goals in the final six minutes of regulation. Jesse Kiiskinen, Noah Dower Nilsson, and Theo Rochette scored during regulation, while Kienen Draper secured the victory in an eight-round shootout. Augustine, a former Michigan State standout, is entering his first full professional season after signing a three-year entry-level deal. He is expected to compete for playing time with the Grand Rapids Griffins, the Red Wings' AHL affiliate, following the team's main training camp scheduled for Sept. 17-20.
