Four-star quarterback Trey Tagliaferri has decommitted from Notre Dame just six days after his commitment on June 25. Tagliaferri, ranked as the No. 216 overall player and No. 13 quarterback in the Rivals industry ranking, chose Notre Dame over Oklahoma and Penn State. The Colts Neck High School athlete had a strong sophomore season, throwing for 2,215 yards and 29 touchdowns. Notre Dame remains focused on its 2028 recruiting class, which includes commitments from four-star safety Andre Jones and kicker Owen Davies.
