The Tri-City ValleyCats will return to Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy for the 2027 season after signing a one-year lease extension with Hudson Valley Community College and Rensselaer County. This decision follows the culmination of their current lease, which ended with their final home game on August 30. The franchise, now entering its 25th season in Troy, is transitioning into the independent Frontier League, which will be rebranded as the National Association of Professional Baseball next year. The ValleyCats are also negotiating a long-term agreement and plan improvements to the stadium, aiming for renovations that include upgrading the field and scoreboard. Attendance has been strong, with over 130,000 fans this past season.
