Trinity Rodman signs record contract extension with Washington Spirit

Trinity Rodman signed a three-year contract extension with the Washington Spirit that runs through 2028. The deal reportedly reaches an annual value exceeding $2 million, establishing Rodman as the highest-paid player in NWSL history. Selected by the team as the second overall pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft, Rodman was the youngest player drafted in league history at age 18. Her career includes an NWSL championship and a Rookie of the Year award. Internationally, she contributed to the United States Women’s National Team securing a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
