Forward Troy Parrott scored in the 53rd minute to lead Real Betis to a 3-2 victory over Lille in the Champions League on September 8, 2026. The 24-year-old struck a low, left-footed shot to secure the win after Marc Bartra provided two goals for the Spanish side. Lille played the final portion of the match with 10 men after Ethan Mbappe received a red card for an elbow to the face of Natan. This result follows Parrott’s match-winning goal against Real Madrid in La Liga four days prior. Parrott, who joined Real Betis this summer from AZ Alkmaar, has now recorded decisive goals in his last two appearances for the club. The victory marks a significant start for Real Betis on their return to the competition following a 21-year absence.
