Truist Championship remains top-tier event in PGA Tour's new series

The Truist Championship will continue as a key event in the PGA Tour's newly announced Championship Series starting in 2028. PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp confirmed the inclusion of the Truist Championship, which has been held at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC, for many years. This year's tournament takes place from May 13-16, marking its 24th consecutive year on the Tour and its third as a signature event. The new Championship Series will manage around 23-24 events, including major championships and team events, running from February through August.
