Trump announces Medal of Freedom for Roger Clemens at San Antonio rally

Summary

President Donald Trump declared he will award Roger Clemens, a baseball pitching legend and seven-time Cy Young Award winner, the presidential Medal of Freedom during a rally in San Antonio. Clemens has faced allegations of steroid use, which have hindered his Hall of Fame candidacy, despite his denial of these claims. At the rally, Clemens expressed his gratitude for the honor, stating it surpasses anything from his playing career. This marks another instance of Trump advocating for former sports icons facing controversies, including his support for Pete Rose.
