Tua Tagovailoa's wife addresses social media account activity amid quarterback competition

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa became the focus of internet speculation Monday morning after a post appeared on his social media account. The post, which read, “We’re so proud of you!!! You got this,” led many to believe the quarterback was using a burner account. Tagovailoa's wife addressed the situation, stating she was responsible for the comment and had failed to switch back to her own account after managing the page. She noted that Tagovailoa does not personally manage his social media and that she handles postings on his behalf. This incident occurs while the Falcons are still evaluating the starting quarterback position between Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. ahead of the season opener. While the explanation appears to be legitimate, the situation has persisted as a recurring topic for discussion online.
