Tucker and Catanese win mixed doubles title at News Journal Tennis Tournament

Hayliegh Tucker and Dylan Catanese triumphed in the mixed doubles competition at the News Journal Tennis Tournament, held at Lakewood Racquet Club on Friday night. The duo advanced through the event's format, winning 10 games in just the second round before securing a 4-1 victory over Liz and Brennan Skulski in the semifinals, followed by a 4-0 win against Hannah and Cooper Remy in the final. Tucker, who won this event last year, noted the lighter atmosphere of playing alongside Catanese after his regular partner was unavailable. Catanese, recovering from a hand injury, expressed satisfaction with his performance despite limited recent play. Both players showcased strong chemistry developed earlier this summer at a tennis camp.
