Tulane volleyball splits season opening matches at Green Wave Classic

The Tulane Green Wave volleyball team finished its opening weekend with a 1-1 record at the Green Wave Classic. The team opened with a five-set loss to the North Dakota State Bison on Friday night, falling 25-20, 19-25, 22-25, 25-22, 12-15. Tulane recovered on Sunday with a 3-0 sweep of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, taking the sets 25-11, 25-23, and 25-21. During the weekend, Charlee Solomon recorded 47 assists in the opener and 27 assists in the victory, while Chloe List contributed 12 kills against North Dakota State and 10 kills against Tennessee Tech. Riley Tucker anchored the defense with three blocks in the first match and six blocks in the second. The Green Wave will resume play on Thursday, September 3rd, at the UNF Invitational in Jacksonville, Florida.
