Twins activate Prielipp from injured list, place Paredes on IL

The Minnesota Twins have activated left-hander Connor Prielipp from the injured list to start against the Athletics on July 26. Prielipp had been sidelined since July 8 due to a blister on his finger. Right-hander Mike Paredes was placed on the injured list after suffering a strained oblique muscle during warm-ups for his scheduled start. The Twins also pushed back Joe Ryan's start to Wednesday due to arm fatigue while reinforcing their bullpen with Cole Sands returning from rehab and Jack Anderson being sent to Triple-A.

"The Minnesota Twins returned rookie left-hander Connor Prielipp from his rehab assignment to rejoin their injury-thinned rotation and start their game against the Athletics on Sunday. Prielipp, who last pitched on July 8 because of a blister on his left middle finger, made his 14th start this season. Paredes suffered the injury while warming up for his scheduled start on Saturday night and was scratched minutes before the game in favor of Kendry Rojas.
