Summary

Byron Buxton left Tuesday's game against the Athletics in the seventh inning due to a hip issue, prompting a 'wait-and-see' approach from the Twins management. Manager Derek Shelton confirmed that Buxton, who has faced ongoing hip problems this season, was sidelined for Wednesday's game as the team evaluates his condition. The Twins had planned to give Buxton two consecutive days off, including their scheduled day off on Thursday, before a critical 15-game stretch against division rivals beginning Friday against the White Sox. Buxton has been battling hip soreness since May and received an injection for the injury recently.
