LSU football linebackers Princewill Unanmielen and Whit Weeks were added to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy preseason watchlist ahead of the 2026 college football season. The trophy recognizes the best defensive player in the NCAA. Both players chose to return to LSU under head coach Lane Kiffin after considering NFL opportunities. Weeks is returning from an ankle injury sustained during the 2025 season, where he finished with 125 tackles.
