Two PFL San Diego fighters face potential six-month suspensions

"The PFL San Diego card provided plenty of excitement on Saturday night but several fighters are exiting the event with some required time off. On Monday, the California State Athletic Commission revealed the full medical suspension from the PFL San Diego card, which included a pair of fighters receiving potential six-month layoffs. Featherweight Khasat Magomedsharipov won his fight over Joshua Weems but he didn’t walk away unscathed. He’s looking at a possible 180-day suspension due to a potential orbital bone fracture that he has to get cleared or he’ll be out for six months. The same goes for prelim fighter Ilara Joanne, who is also looking a six-month suspension for a possible fracture to her right knee. To return any sooner, Joanne would need to get cleared by a physician. In the main event, A.J. McKee scored a dominant decision win over Salamat Isbulaev and afterwards he was handed a 60 day suspension unless cleared by a physician for a laceration to his left eye. The same goes for Isbulaev, who was handed the same 60 day suspension for a laceration over his left eye as well. Only one fighter on the entire card received an indefinite suspension and that was main card opener Abraham Bably, who was ordered to undergo an MRI and a CT scan before he can be cleared to compete again.
