Two Pirates pitchers predicted for All-Star selections

MLB analyst Jim Bowden forecasts that Pittsburgh Pirates pitchers Paul Skenes and Braxton Ashcraft will earn All-Star Game spots this summer. Skenes, who is expected to make his third consecutive appearance, has a solid performance this season with a 2.60 FIP and an expected ERA of 2.29. Ashcraft, noted for his underrated play, holds a 3.28 ERA with 86 strikeouts in 79 2/3 innings and is considered a deserving first-time selection. The Pirates, currently in good standing, will begin a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday.
