Tyler Mahle shines as Braves extend NL East lead

Tyler Mahle delivered another strong performance as the Atlanta Braves faced the New York Mets on August 12, 2026. Mahle pitched 6.0 innings with solid strikeout numbers, contributing to the Braves' success in securing a series win. With this victory, Atlanta now holds a 9.5-game lead in the NL East and is just 1.0 game behind Milwaukee for the top seed in the National League. Additionally, the Braves' defense has improved under the Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) system, allaying some previous concerns. The team looks to build on this momentum as they navigate toward the postseason.
