Tyson Fury faces Mariusz Wach in weigh-in ahead of July bout

Tyson Fury stopped Mariusz Wach in seven rounds in Thailand in his final tune-up, setting up a long-awaited heavyweight showdown with Anthony Joshua this fall.

Fury (36-2-1, 25 KO) seems to have had no trouble in the non-televised fight, where he was out-weighed on the scales for the first time in his professional career. Fury, 37, weighed in at 264½ lbs, which is actually his lowest official weight in his last three outings, while Wach came in at 291, among the heaviest of his career, all in the last few years with, being frank, his competitive career completely over. Wach falls to 39-14 (20 KO), with 12 of those defeats coming in his last 18 fights, dating back to 2017. Joshua fights on Saturday, facing Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia, a fight that is pretty much similar in on-paper challenge but is heavier promoted as a DAZN pay-per-view. Fury vs Wach highlights!

Tyson Fury got his tune-up fight out of the way. The British heavyweight earned a comfortable victory when 46-year-old Mariusz Wach didn't get off his stool after the seventh round in a non-televised bout in Thailand, where the self-described “Gypsy King” has been training. Joshua, himself a former heavyweight champion, also is on the comeback trail after being involved in a car crash in Nigeria in December that killed two of his friends and saw him sustain minor injuries.
