UAB parts ways with athletics director Mark Ingram after 11 years

UAB has agreed to part ways with Mark Ingram, the associate vice president and athletics director, effective August 18, 2026. Ingram, who joined UAB in May 2015, oversaw significant achievements for the athletics program, including facility investments and a successful transition to the American Conference. Andy Kennedy, the head coach of men's basketball, will serve as the interim director of athletics as UAB seeks to fill the vacant position. Ingram expressed pride in his tenure and gratitude for the relationships formed during his time at UAB.
