UC Bearcats ranked eighth in Big 12 coaches poll at Media Day

The UC Bearcats are ranked No. 8 in the Big 12 coaches poll following Big 12 Media Day held on October 20 in Kansas City. New head coach Jerrod Calhoun, who previously led Utah State to a league championship, expressed indifference to preseason rankings, emphasizing the importance of performance over perceptions. With a mostly new roster, Calhoun has focused on building a team with depth and versatility, aiming for a competitive season in the Big 12. The Bearcats will begin their season with high expectations after recent strong performances in exhibition games. Their next challenge will be as they move into the regular season, where they look to improve on their ranking.
