UCLA dismisses athletic director Martin Jarmond before season

UCLA chancellor Julio Frenk announced the dismissal of athletic director Martin Jarmond on Monday, August 31, effective immediately. Former Los Angeles Lakers executive Tim Harris will serve as the interim athletic director and CEO on a pro bono basis. Jarmond, who held the position since 2020, is reportedly owed $6.5 million on his remaining contract.
