UCLA softball adds Arizona State pitcher following Tinsley's departure

UCLA softball has signed Arizona State pitcher Meika Lauppe via the transfer portal. This move comes after the Bruins' senior ace, Taylor Tinsley, lost NCAA eligibility by joining the Athletes Unlimited Softball League. Tinsley pitched 235 innings and 27 complete games last season, a significant contribution compared to UCLA's remaining pitchers. Lauppe brings with her one season of NCAA eligibility and has a three-year record at Arizona State that includes 25 wins and a 3.64 ERA. She recorded a 14-4 season last year with 65 strikeouts over 41 appearances. Next season, she will join the Bruins' pitching ranks alongside Natalie Cable, Brynne Nally, and Sydney Somerndike.
