UConn pitching coach Josh MacDonald sees five alumni in major leagues

Five former UConn baseball players currently compete in Major League Baseball, marking a significant milestone for Huskies pitching coach Josh MacDonald. The group includes recent call-up Austin Peterson of the Guardians, who made his debut with two scoreless innings against the Tigers. Other former UConn pitchers in the majors include Andrew Sears with the Tigers, Ben Casparius of the Dodgers, PJ Poulin of the Nationals, and Anthony Kay of the White Sox. MacDonald, who has led the UConn pitching staff for 15 seasons, maintains an active interest in the professional careers of his former players.
