Udinese implements UEFA sustainability manual for Serie A matchday

Udinese has launched the ‘Play for Sustainability – Our Planet’ initiative ahead of their Serie A match against Cagliari on September 19, 2026. This initiative aims to incorporate measurable sustainability actions during their home games and is the first to apply the UEFA Football Event Sustainability Manual, introduced in June 2026. Club director Magda Pozzo stated the initiative aims to instill long-term environmental and social responsibility. FIGC President Giovanni Malagò recognized Udinese as a pioneering club in sustainability practices, while Lega Serie A President Ezio Maria Simonelli highlighted the initiative's potential to engage communities in sustainable efforts.
