UFC featherweight Kurtis Campbell competes without corrective lenses

UFC featherweight Kurtis Campbell disclosed that he fights with significant vision impairment and chooses not to use contact lenses. The Liverpool native, who wears thick-lensed glasses outside of competition, stated that his opponents appear blurry to him while inside the Octagon. He noted that he struggles to see clearly until his opponent is in close proximity. Campbell previously attempted to use contact lenses when he was younger but abandoned the practice due to personal discomfort. The 9-1 fighter recently secured a submission victory over Trevor Peek at UFC Paris following a loss to Danny Silva earlier this year. He continues to compete without vision correction as he prefers the current arrangement.
