UFC fighter Diego Sanchez faces arrest for probation violation in New Mexico

Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez was arrested Monday in Socorro, New Mexico. Jail records show the 44-year-old was booked at 5:17 p.m. local time on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and a probation violation. Sanchez was currently serving a five-year term of supervised probation stemming from an incident in July 2025 involving the discharge of a firearm from a moving vehicle. During his sentencing this past March, Sanchez stated he was pursuing treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues related to his previous arrest. Sanchez competed in the UFC from 2005 to 2022 after debuting on the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter. No further information regarding his current legal status or court appearance has been released.
