Uli Hoeneß receives the Legends Award at Sport Bild ceremony

Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß accepted the Legends Award at the 24th annual Sport Bild Awards on Monday. The ceremony, held at the Fischauktionshalle in Hamburg, included approximately 700 guests from the German sports community. Hoeneß was selected for the honor to recognize his extensive influence on Bayern Munich and German soccer, spanning his time as a player and his long-term tenure in management. He joins previous recipients Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Müller in receiving the distinction. Sport Bild editor-in-chief Henning Feindt highlighted Hoeneß's role in guiding the club to consistent success in the Bundesliga and European competitions over the past five decades. Since joining the organization in 1979 as manager at age 27, Hoeneß has contributed to 48 titles as both a player and official.
