Unai Emery's power at Aston Villa complicates Manchester United's coaching plans

Manchester United may encounter significant challenges in their effort to recruit Aston Villa's Unai Emery as a replacement for Michael Carrick. The Red Devils admire Emery's coaching abilities, but his substantial authority at Villa Park, which has contributed to their recent success as top-four contenders, complicates any potential move. Internal discussions within United are ongoing, indicating a managerial change may occur during the November international break, but Emery's existing commitments and control pose barriers. Meanwhile, Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann are also under consideration for the role should Carrick depart.
