UNC field hockey sweeps Conference Crossover matches in Chapel Hill

The #10 UNC field hockey team went undefeated at the Conference Crossover this weekend in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels secured a 7-0 victory against Penn on Friday behind goals from five different players, including a career-first for Grace Pottebaum. The team followed that performance with a shootout victory over #2 Princeton on Sunday after 75 minutes of scoreless regulation and overtime play. Merritt Skubisz contributed five saves to keep the match scoreless, and Sofia Ferri converted the deciding shootout attempt. The results move the team forward after an initial 0-2 start to the season. UNC concludes its three-game homestand by hosting Old Dominion this Friday at 5:00 PM ET on ACCNX.
