UNC football enters bye week after victory against TCU in Ireland

UNC football will not compete this week following an overseas victory against TCU in the Aer Lingus Classic. The Tar Heels defeated the Horned Frogs 15-10 at Aviva Stadium in Dublin on August 29. This win marks the second season for coach Bill Belichick at the program, following a previous loss to the same opponent in 2025. After returning to North Carolina on August 30, the team enters its first of two scheduled off weeks. UNC is set to resume its season on September 12 by hosting East Tennessee State at Kenan Stadium. Following that matchup, the team travels to play Clemson on September 19.
