Three North Carolina players were selected on Day 2 of the 2026 MLB Draft, increasing the Tar Heels' total to seven. Macon Winslow was picked 190th overall by the Philadelphia Phillies after an impressive season. Right-hander Matthew Matthijs was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 17th round, and Joseph Lawson rounded out the selections in the 20th round with Miami Marlins. This marks the most picks in one draft for the Tar Heels.
