University of Cincinnati players drafted by the Lakers highlighted

The Los Angeles Lakers have drafted four players from the University of Cincinnati over the years. Jim Holstein, drafted in 1952, averaged 3.8 points across four NBA seasons. Rick Roberson, selected in 1969, played two years with the Lakers before averaging nine points over his career. Nick Van Exel, picked in 1993, enjoyed five productive seasons with the Lakers, earning an All-Star selection in 1998. Ruber Patterson, drafted in 1998, played a significant part of his career after leaving the Lakers and averaged 10.7 points per game.
