University of Iowa hosts top athletic prospects for Cy-Hawk football game

The University of Iowa is hosting a large contingent of high school recruits across multiple sports during this weekend's rivalry football game against Iowa State at Kinnick Stadium. The event serves as a primary recruiting tool for the Hawkeye coaching staffs as the football team faces the Cyclones on Saturday, September 12. Coaches are utilizing the high-profile atmosphere, which will be broadcast on national television, to showcase the program to uncommitted prospects in football, men’s and women’s basketball, and field hockey. Notable football visitors include uncommitted four-star prospects Grant Bowen, Cannon Zubeck, and Jevyn Severson. The women’s basketball program, led by coach Jan Jensen, is hosting top-rated center Khalia Hartwell, while the men's basketball staff is entertaining five-star point guard Cayden Daughtry.
