University of Michigan Golf Course uses temporary greens following damage

The University of Michigan Golf Course announced it will temporarily close 3-4 greens at a time for repairs starting July 27, following damage suspected to be caused by foul play. The course reported a noticeable decline in the coloring of its putting surfaces. While the greens will be out of commission, golfers can continue playing on temporary target greens set up in the fairways. The university is cooperating with the Department of Public Safety to investigate the situation. Despite the repairs needed on the collars, the main greens are currently considered to be in good condition, and the course remains optimistic about their recovery.
