University of New Mexico schedules Lobo Howl as recruiting visits continue

The University of New Mexico men’s and women’s basketball programs will host the annual Lobo Howl event at the Pit on October 9. The free public event includes skills competitions, autograph sessions, and a slam dunk contest. Amid preparations for the 60th anniversary of the arena, the athletic department also teased a forthcoming promotion via social media. Meanwhile, the men’s basketball team is hosting two former local prep standouts, David Lunn and Wes Hilldale, for official recruiting visits this weekend. In staff news, former UNM wing Sam Logwood has accepted the position of Director of Video and Scouting for the Florida State Seminoles. Separately, former walk-on Shane Douma-Sanchez, now with Northern New Mexico College, is scheduled to face the Lobos at the Pit on December 29 while his legal proceedings against the university remain pending.
