Delijah Matthews, a standout running back from Carl Albert, has committed to UNLV for the 2027 recruiting class. Matthews announced his decision via Instagram after considering offers from Maryland and UNLV. The 6-foot, 200-pound athlete was a key player in leading Carl Albert to a perfect 14-0 record and a fourth consecutive state championship during his junior season. He achieved significant stats with 2,033 rushing yards and a state-record 44 rushing touchdowns. As a two-sport athlete, he also contributed to the basketball team, helping them reach the Class 5A title game. Matthews was recently honored as The Oklahoman’s All-City Boys Athlete of the Year.
