Urban Meyer discusses Michigan football quarterback situation

Urban Meyer provided analysis on the Michigan football quarterback rotation on The Triple Option Podcast. Meyer identified Bryce Underwood as the current starter but noted that backup Tommy Carr remains a factor for the coaching staff. While Meyer characterized Underwood as physically underdeveloped, he attributed recent struggles largely to the team's offensive line and running game performance. Meyer suggested that head coach Kyle Whittingham prioritizes immediate winning results and may consider changes if necessary, specifically mentioning a potential transition if the team struggles against Oklahoma. Despite the commentary on a potential lineup change, Meyer maintained that the staff remains high on the long-term potential of both quarterbacks. The evaluation comes as Michigan navigates the opening phase of a new coaching tenure under Whittingham.
