Several USMNT players contributed to their teams over the weekend. Josh Sargent scored the opening goal in Toronto FC’s 2-1 victory against Inter Miami on August 23. Brian White netted twice in Vancouver Whitecaps’ 5-0 win over FC Dallas on the same day. Ricardo Pepi scored a penalty during PSV Eindhoven’s 5-1 triumph over FC Groningen on August 24. Malik Tillman excelled with six chances created in Bayer Leverkusen's 4-0 win over Wehen Wiesbaden in the DFB Pokal. Concerns arose for Kevin Paredes, who left Utrecht’s match against Sparta Rotterdam on crutches after a 3-1 win. Many players continued to build momentum as the season progresses in both MLS and European leagues.
