The U.S. men's national soccer team secured an impressive 4-1 victory over Paraguay in their World Cup opener on June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Christian Pulisic assisted on two goals, while Folarin Balogun scored twice during his World Cup debut. The U.S. was aggressive from the start, with a goal credited to Paraguayan midfielder Damián Bobadilla in the seventh minute, followed by Balogun's goals in the 31st minute and just before halftime.
