USC counts down to kickoff with a look at Mike Williams

USC is preparing to kick off its 2026 football season on August 29 against San Jose State at the Coliseum. As part of a series, they highlight former All-American wide receiver Mike Williams, who played from 2002 to 2003. Williams had an impressive college career, recording 176 catches for 2,579 yards and 30 touchdowns. Although he faced eligibility issues that prevented him from playing in the 2004 season, Williams was drafted 10th overall by the Detroit Lions in the 2005 NFL Draft. His post-college career included stints with multiple NFL teams and later transitioned into coaching at the high school level.
