USC highlights running back Travis Dye ahead of season kickoff

USC is preparing for its 2026 football season opener against San Jose State on August 29. As part of a countdown series, former running back Travis Dye is spotlighted. Dye transferred to USC for the 2022 season after four years at Oregon and rushed for over 100 yards in five of his first eight games. His season ended prematurely due to a leg injury sustained against Colorado. Despite only playing ten games, Dye significantly contributed to USC's improvement from four wins in 2021 to 11 in 2022. After not being selected in the 2023 NFL Draft, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets but was waived before the season began.
