USC is counting down to its 2026 football season opener against San Jose State on August 29. The latest spotlight is on tight end Xavier Grimble, who played for the Trojans from 2010 to 2013. Grimble had 69 receptions for 731 yards and 11 touchdowns during his college career. After declaring for the NFL draft, he went undrafted but subsequently played for several practice squads before debuting with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016. He had a total of 23 receptions for 239 yards in the NFL before his last known practice squad role with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020.
