USC prepares for upcoming home game against Fresno State

Summary

The USC Trojans host Fresno State at the Coliseum this Friday in the second game of their 2026 season. Fresno State enters the matchup led by former USC linebackers coach Matt Entz. USC enters the contest following a 42-26 victory over San Jose State, where the team totaled 46 points but allowed 26 points in the second half. Coaching staff aims for a more consistent defensive showing across all four quarters, with expectations for an increased pass rush and multiple interceptions. Offensively, the Trojans look to expand the ground game through Waymond Jordan and King Miller while integrating receivers Tanook Hines and Mark Bowman into the passing attack. Defensive player Elbert Rock Hill is expected to build on his season-opening performance as the team seeks to refine its execution before the home crowd.
