Summary

Jayden Maiava, the USC Trojans quarterback, is focusing on development ahead of the 2027 NFL Draft. After opting to return for another season instead of entering the 2026 draft, he is projected as a day two selection and is ranked in the top ten quarterbacks for 2027. Maiava acknowledged the need to enhance his decision-making and work through progressions while rebuilding chemistry with new receivers after the departure of key players Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane. He aims to adapt to various environments and improve his game by fostering connections with teammates and learning from past USC quarterback legends. Maiava threw for 3,711 yards and 24 touchdowns last season and looks to build on that performance in the upcoming season.
