USC is counting down to its 2026 football season opener on August 29 against San Jose State. The program highlights legendary safety Troy Polamalu, who played for the Trojans from 1999 to 2002. During his collegiate career, Polamalu recorded 281 tackles and six interceptions, earning All-American honors twice. After being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2003, he enjoyed a successful 12-season career, garnering eight Pro Bowl selections and contributing to two Super Bowl victories. Polamalu was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2019 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
