UTEP Women's Soccer began their 2026 season with a 2-0 victory at home against Lamar University on August 12. The Miners scored early in the 15th minute with a goal from a cross by Ashlee Mora, who recently earned a call-up to the Mexico U-20 squad. Macey Williams assisted on the second goal, tapped in by Ashlyn Neireiter in the 26th minute. The Miners maintained their lead throughout the match. Their next game is against Sul Ross State on August 16 at University Field.
