UVA basketball secures 2027 commitment from Mahamadou Landoure

Virginia Cavaliers head coach Ryan Odom has secured a commitment from Mahamadou Landoure, a 6-foot-10, 260-pound center from Mali. The 17-year-old, who previously played for Real Madrid and Dar City in Tanzania, will play for Bridgton Academy in Maine next season. Landoure caught attention for his outstanding performance in the 2023 Minicopa Endesa, scoring 56 points and grabbing 33 rebounds. Odom continues to build an international pipeline for the Cavaliers, previously adding several European prospects. The Cavaliers look towards future roster improvements with this addition as they prepare for the upcoming season.
