Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scores 92 as East Zone matches Central Zone total

Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 92 runs for East Zone on day two of the Duleep Trophy semifinal at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. His performance, which included seven sixes and seven fours, helped East Zone reach 266 all out and tie Central Zone’s first-innings total. Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to record a 50 in the tournament, surpassing a record set in 1969. Abhimanyu Easwaran added 69 runs to anchor the opening stand. Following the first innings, Central Zone ended the day at 45 for three wickets. The match remains ongoing as both sides look to gain an advantage heading into the final stages of the semifinal.
