Vanderbilt earns first number one ranking in program soccer history

Vanderbilt holds a 7-0 record and sits at the top of the latest TopDrawerSoccer national poll for the first time in program history. The team has outscored opponents 28-7 during their undefeated start to the season. Sydney Watts, the 2025 SEC Forward of the Year, leads the offensive effort with eight goals and four assists. Supporting contributors include Reagan Pentz and Melania Fullerton, who have combined for six goals and seven assists. Under head coach Darren Ambrose, the Commodores reached the Elite Eight last season and secured a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. The team now turns its attention to the start of SEC play, with a road match scheduled against Georgia on September 10.
