Vaughn Grissom critiques Red Sox evaluators after Angels trade

Summary

Vaughn Grissom, now with the Los Angeles Angels, expressed his disappointment in how the Boston Red Sox evaluated him during his time with the team. After struggling in 2024 and spending 2025 in Triple-A, Grissom was traded to the Angels, where he has improved his performance with a.707 OPS in 78 games this season. He attributed his success to the belief shown in him by the Angels and criticized the Red Sox's reliance on analytics over player evaluation. Grissom's comments reflect ongoing criticisms of the Red Sox's front office under Craig Breslow and their approach to player assessment.
